How can you create a breakfast corner in your apartment?

There are times when you want to enjoy a cup of hot beverage while watching the sun go down with your loved ones. The feeling of pausing life and having a moment to yourself seems too good to be true. When you have a small terrace, you can do outdoor seating and create a small corner for yourself. It does not have to be very fancy but it serves the purpose and can be the place you go to for some peace. Here are a few ideas to make a breakfast corner in your home where you can go and have a lazy Sunday breakfast!

Creating a corner in the terrace with a table

If you have a lot of plants on your terrace, then a good option would be to invest in a small outdoor table with a couple of chairs. You can push this against the wall, cover it with a tablecloth, put a small potted plant on it with cute decorations and you have a cozy corner! Add a few lights to make it a romantic dinner destination too. Decorate the adjacent wall with small wall hangings and some of your best DIY gems. You can paint the wall with the colours you want as well.

How to create low seating or floor seating sit-outs?

If you have a great view and you plan to style your terrace by using low seating or setting up a corner on the floor, then you can go for a small peg table or breakfast table that can be used to serve beverages and small eats. You can create a comfortable corner by adding floor cushions, rugs, dhurries, and bean bags! If you want to add a boho touch to your sit-out, you can decorate the wall with jute and cotton wall hangings. Colourful hangings can make all the difference and make the place more vibrant.

Creating a breakfast corner inside your house

A breakfast corner can be as simple as a table and a couple of chairs with a cruet set on the table. It can be as elaborate as a table of wrought iron with chairs and a canopy of flowers overhead with flowers in full bloom. Apart from the functional purpose of a breakfast corner, it can be used when there are just a couple of people residing in the house and you don’t need the big dining table. The breakfast corner can be fitted easily in one corner of the kitchen and you need not assign a lot of space.

If you are a fan of saving space and keeping things simple, you can have a foldable table that covers a shelf in the wall as the breakfast table as well. You can store your breakfast essentials in the cupboard like your cereal, coffee, milk powder, and so on. This way you don’t have to think about storage as well.

Breakfast corners can be as fancy and as simple as you want them to be.
